Files do not play regardless of the plugin
#1
Hello,

First of all, this is an amazing piece of work. Thank you very much for undertaking this project.
I have recently discovered this and installed it on my Raspberry Pi2. While testing it for the first time, I could not get anything to play.
No matter what plugin i choose, I get the following error:

[21/Apr/2015:09:56:28]  STARTING: peerflix
[21/Apr/2015:09:56:35]  READY: peerflix
[21/Apr/2015:09:56:35]  STARTING: omxplayer
[21/Apr/2015:09:56:35]  HALTED: omxplayer
[21/Apr/2015:09:56:35]  GOT ERROR: Process suddenly died
[21/Apr/2015:09:56:35]  PIPE STOPPED

Also, have tried omxplayer with multiple files from the command line and it plays well.

Your help would be highly appreciated.

Thanks!

Thank you for the quick response. Followed your suggestion and after running the following command:

Code:
omxplayer -b --timeout 100 -I --no-keys  http://127.0.0.1:8888

I got the following error: Failed to open vchiq instance. A bit of googling got me to following commands below:
Code:
sudo echo 'SUBSYSTEM=="vchiq",GROUP="video",MODE="0660"' > /etc/udev/rules.d/10-vchiq-permissions.rules
sudo usermod -a -G video <username>

Problem solved! Everything works as expected!
Thank you for your help!

By the way, anymore plugins under development?

No plans currently. But if you have any requests I'll look into it
